I love Easter. I love Whopper Eggs. I love Starburst Jelly Beans. I really love Cadbury Mini Eggs. But even more than candy, I love what Easter represents. Several years ago, I was in Hawaii on Easter. I woke up early that morning and read from the Bible the story of the resurrected Savior appearing to Mary in the garden. As I sat on the balcony of my hotel room, overlooking the ocean as the sun came up, I came to appreciate Easter Morning in a new way. The beauty of the creation – and the promise of all the good things that lie ahead – became very real to me that day. I believe that the Savior lived and died and lives again. He overcame the chains of sin and death for you, for me, for each of us. He did all of this out of love. And it is through Him that the things that are wrong in our lives, whatever they may be, can be made right.
Happy Easter!
That was beautiful, Traci. I'm glad we get to spend Easter all together as a family!
