I Taught Him That

I love going to Mick's gymnastic meets and claiming "I taught him that" with every skill he does. When, let's be honest, I couldn't even walk across one of the mats without falling over.

Also, my favorite thing about the photo bomb in the above picture was that I had no idea Jason's brother-in-law was in the picture (or even at the meet) when I was taking it. Well played, Taylor, well played.

New Favorite Spot

If you're at my house looking for Rooney, step over the baby gate/ottoman barricade carefully designed to keep him out of my piano room, and you'll probably find him here, on his couch, looking out on his neighborhood, right next to the piano. I swear he thinks he owns the place.

And obviously, I'm kidding about looking for Rooney. Because if you're visiting at our house - don't you worry, Roons will come to you.

Holiday Wrap-Up

Note to Self #1: Don't assign Grandpa to bring the ingredients for peanut butter balls on Christmas Eve. Three pounds of chocolate would make A LOT of peanut butter balls. Also, don't ask Grandpa if you can borrow his double boiler, because he'll come with brand new double boilers for you and your sisters. On second thought, don't ask Grandpa to borrow his double boiler. Ask if you can borrow his 2018 Honda CRV in Gunmetal Metallic.

Note to Self #2: There is an appropriate setting for Jason's favorite jacket that he got from REAMS. It works great as an impromptu shepherd's costume. Pink unicorn/donkey not included.

Note to Self #3: When you ask Jason, innocently, what he bought at Toys R Us and he says, "Settle down, settle down" it means that he found his favorite game from childhood that he has spent the past 15 years looking for. Cross Fire was probably cooler in the 80's. But we still liked it.

Note to any and all Harmon's shoppers: Watch out World! Here We Come! Full speed ahead to 2018.

Winter, spring, summer, or fall.... these cuties sure have got it all.

If I'm good, maybe they'll let me write their Christmas newsletter next year.

The Great Orator of the Church

I remember watching General Conference with my Grandpa Thomas years ago. He repeated a couple of times, "President Thomas S. Monson is the great orator of the Church."

That he was. It makes my heart happy to think who might be listening to President Monson's stories today.

Happy Birthday!

Some people might use nine kidney stones as an excuse not to try out their new snow blower. But not this guy. He did our driveway - and some of the neighbors.

Happy Birthday Anyway to a really stubborn guy.
