Who is This Big Girl?

Grandma Torg bought Dahlia this new dress for Easter, which she just loves. I like it too, except Dahlia looks all grown up in this picture.

We had fun at Dahlia's dance competition a couple of weeks ago. Her first dance I call Ninja Nation.

Her second dance was Michael Jackson's Black or White. Jason thinks all dances should be choreographed to Michael Jackson music. I think he'd get tired of it. But he might not.

Free Advice

I've discovered the secret to a successful marriage. Jason and I are doing equally bad on our brackets this year - but we're still better than everyone else. And that is how it's done.

My Sister's Act

Made an all-too-quick trip to Twin Falls last weekend to see Tricia in "Sister Act." Somehow, I got invited to the cast's "secret" Facebook page and got access to all their pictures and videos. It was great. For me. Possibly not as great for Biz.

Saturday morning, we were able to catch Tanner's basketball game.

And Kami's general cuteness.

And Tyson's laid-back coaching style.

Dad was sick (bronchitis) as evidenced by this picture where he actually let Jess apply essential oils to his feet.

And the musical was spectacular. I posted this picture online with the caption "a sister and two brothers #sisteract" and someone asked if my sister had joined a convent. Yes, a very progressive one with sparkly dresses and generous visiting hours.

And last but not least... more Kami cuteness.

Happy Friday!

Friday, February 23, 2018, was a beautiful day for a retirement celebration and pie. If you're into that kind of thing which, frankly, I am not.

Dad's retirement pre-party took place at Charlie Chows, where Tyson may have "accidentally" opened an unmarked black door and walked right in to the kitchen at Charlie Chows. The subsequent screaming from the cooks was not in a language I recognized. But the message was pretty clear. "It's freezing cold, white boy. This is not the door. Get out of here." Ty came through the experience fairly unscathed and we very much enjoyed our meal. With peanuts.

Dad is retiring! Pie for everyone!!!!

Biz and I didn't coordinate our outfits in advance. We didn't need to. If you had told me I would one day attend my Dad's retirement party, after 38 years, as a church employee myself and WEARING PANTS - I may not have believed you. But it's true. And I have the picture to prove it. We are not a white shirt and tie, unnecessary skirt-wearing kind of family.

Why wear a suit jacket when a decades-old fleece jacket will do?
