Migraine Hangover Defined

Migraine Hangover = I don't know who I am or where I am. But I do know that I want pizza.

Twin Falls Summer Retreat

As is pretty typical for me, I decided to celebrate Pioneer Day by fleeing the state. I think it has something to do with the Bountiful residents who set out chairs 3 days before the Handcart Days parade and are already waiting outside for the parade to begin when I leave for work on the 23rd at 7:30 am. (Parade start time: 6:00 pm.) I don't get people who think the Bountiful Parade is so spectacular that they would spend 12 hours in the hot sun waiting for it to start. I really don't. Unless someone can show me in writing that Ben Affleck or Matt Damon is going to choose a wife from among those seated in the front row of the Handcart Days parade, I really don't see what the fuss is about.

But I digress. I spent the weekend in Twin Falls with my friend Sara. We ate breakfast food for dinner at Shari's, giggled in our hotel room until all hours of the night, hit up the Magic Valley Mall, went to a movie, and then had a picnic at the Falls. So it was pretty much the perfect weekend.

I made Sara snap this picture "so it looks like we did something outdoorsy when we both know we're just here to eat our Chick-Fil-A chicken nuggets in peace." I had never actually been down to see the falls in Twin and I have to say it was beautiful. We were going to take a picture of us standing by kayaks and send it to our former Young Women leaders - all of whom would be terrified to think we were about to hop in a kayak together. (And for good reason.) But it was hot so we didn't make the effort.
Thanks, Sara, for "meeting in the middle" so we could have our Girls Night.

The Proposal Story

Jason brought the blanket box he made up to my apartment. When I opened the door, he was wearing the shirt he wore on our first date. (A detail he forgot, so it's ironic that's how I knew This Was Happening.) Inside my blanket box was something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. He's a keeper. 7.8.2015
