We are doing the ABC's of summer this year and trying to do one activity for each letter of the alphabet. For "E" Mickey's two options were "elephant toothpaste" or "ride elephant in Africa." So even though I had no idea what elephant toothpaste might be, I was pretty committed to finding out. I googled "elephant toothpaste," watched a couple YouTube science videos, then made a quick trip to Sally's Beauty Supply for hydrogen peroxide. What did we do without the internet?
We made our mini-explosions at West Bountiful Park last weekend. Kids had fun and it was a lot less hassle than planning an African safari -including elephant rides- might have been. Not to mention less expensive.
