Weekend Fun

Tay and Heather's kids came to play on Saturday. (Note: Ethan does great without Heather until the two hour mark, at which point he is inconsolable. From now on, I am probably only available to watch the little guy for an hour and a half at a time, just to be safe.) We all had fun. (Including the big kid in the background on the PlayStation4 that his brothers were kind enough to get him for the wedding.) I love that Lauren and Carly have learned to start saying that they're hungry the second they walk into someone else's house. It's always good to investigate what options other people have in their pantry. I believe I have modeled this behavior well whenever I go to my Dad's house.

The other thing that I found to be amusing is that Lauren refuses to go into our storage room because of the pink on the walls. (Also known as insulation in an unfinished basement.) Apparently she tells her parents frequently that she's not allowed to go downstairs at Aunt Traci's because it has pink on the walls. I have no idea where she got that.

Speaking of things I don't understand... My primary class on Sunday spent a good portion of the lesson "looking" for an imaginary set of scriptures. This task was made more difficult because the owner of the imaginary scriptures could never seem to pinpoint their exact location. He always knew where the scriptures weren't - he just wasn't sure where they were. I'm not sure we learned much about the gospel (although I did keep encouraging the kids to feast upon the word and search for the scriptures etc.) but those five year-olds sure did keep themselves entertained. Which is sometimes all you can ask for.
