Cha Cha Cha - Ooo La La

Happy Birthday to me! I enjoyed large pieces of my birthday weekend. (Migraine the Friday before and intermittent orneriness the day of were not all that enjoyable.) Mostly I enjoyed that my birthday fell on the Sunday before President's Day so I had the next Monday off work. Birthday Bonus.

We went to The Homestead Resort in Midway for a night. Watched movies and slept in and ate yummy food and went to the cheese store = successful getaway for a recovering migraineur. (I swear that's a word.)

One of my favorite gifts is my birthday buddy, Ethan. We had a combined birthday dinner on Saturday night. Tay kept threatening to dress his little Valentino up as Cupid and take him to church that way. I thought he should. But you can see he looks pretty cute in his winter coat too.

Tyler, Bryce, and Tanner called to wish me happy birthday and left a heart-warming voice mail with their rendition of "Happy Birthday - cha cha cha - ooo la la." Will be a message I'm not able to delete for awhile. Too cute. Also cute was that Jason sent me upstairs to take a birthday nap while he made brownies. A light nap with the smell of brownies wafting through the air is the ideal way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

We got this photo frame for our wedding and I put the pictures together in time for Valentines Day. It's a lot of pictures of us. But I think we can justify putting it up in our house for a bit and then I'll change at least some of the pictures out.

Nothing to do with birthdays or Valentines Day, but WHY would Questar think they needed to mark their territory in YELLOW all over my front yard??? The new and reluctant dog owner in me completely freaked out when I drove home and my yard looked like this. ROONEY. But apparently it wasn't his fault. (And he's not smart enough to put up little yellow flags anyway.) False alarm. This time.

One final picture of random happiness. We did Village Inn Free Pie Wednesday last night and brought our triple berry pie home to enjoy with Mexican hot chocolate. So yummy. So, so yummy.
