I Made Rolls

I made rolls.  These rolls.  They were yummy and pretty and they made my kitchen smell amazing.  I don't even know that I'll do it that often.  But it's nice to know I could, if I wanted to.

If You Really Loved Me...

I just realized I never shared this picture from the parking garage of my hotel in Anaheim.  The riskiest thing about storing spare toilets in the parking garage of a hotel?  People may use them!!!  The second riskiest thing is that it makes an otherwise nice hotel seem pretty ghetto. 

But I digress.  The actual purpose of this post is that I'm sitting in my office, shamelessly eavesdropping on the copy machine repair man outside my office door who is talking to his daughter on the phone.  He keeps counseling her to tell her boss "If you  cared about me as an employee, you would buy me a new copy machine.  Today.  Or I'm going to quit.  And this will be the reason why." 

Because it is a slow Friday morning and I would rather blog about the copy machine repair guy than do any actual work, I don't mind admitting that I'm dying to know how this conversation will go for the daughter.  Where does she work?  Will she get the copy machine she wants?  Or is she going to get fired because the boss really doesn't care about her as an employee and he's going to call her bluff?  Stay tuned.

Progress Report

You've probably been wondering how my plant is doing since I wrote about it earlier here.  I'm pleased to report that it is doing great.  It spent some time with my sister-in-law Heather (who happens to have a degree in horticulture and a career as a florist) and it has a new pot, fresh soil, and a new outlook on life.
