My Dad continues to spoil his kids and grandkids rotten. We just spent a long weekend at a beautiful cabin in Island Park. The weather was perfect (not too hot, not too cold) and I really didn't want to leave.
Lauren with her friends: wooden bear, Cherry and Elmo.
Tyler on the paddle board. Yes, he's more coordinated than I am, even at his young age. I did ok on the canoe. I didn't brave the paddle board. The water was way too cold.
The family that face paints together, stays together.
Interesting fact about me. I love to play tour guide and give tours of places I know absolutely nothing about. This is me on one of those tours at Big Springs. The tour went well.
Don't hate us, but this was right outside our cabin. When you walked down the stairs from the deck, you could either turn left to the hot tub or continue going straight to this picture-perfect lake, which was just past the fire pit where Bryce made me yummy marshmallows. Yeah, don't hate us.
Fishing! Did we catch anything? No. Did we care? No.
A huge joke of the weekend was that I somehow missed this giant rotating can of root beer on the way into West Yellowstone. So we stopped for a picture on the way out. Apparently there really was a giant rotating can of root beer on the way in. Who knew?

Catching Up
Someone just asked me if I knew how they could get a ketchup stain out of their armpit.
I think the better question is what in the world were they doing that they got a ketchup stain in their armpit.

Boise or Bust
Made a quick trip to Idaho this weekend. Reason #1 was that I wanted to stop at the Garden of Eden gas station again. Seriously, I've made the drive from Salt Lake to Boise more times than I can count - how am I just barely finding out about this Travelers Oasis??? They have waterfalls and snakes and homemade fudge. It's tacky and quaint and it has clean restrooms. I love this place.
Reason #2 for the Boise trip was to participate in the Treasure Valley Diabetes Walk with my friend Ashlee and her little guy, Bryant. My nephews were excited to join "The Blue Team" and we really enjoyed our walk along the greenbelt. These two may have enjoyed the walk a little too much. I do realize that Ty and Aaron are grown-ups with jobs and children now. But put them together and you just know they're plotting some sort of mischief.
I really wanted this shot with my nephews. So lucky no one ended up in the pond!
The bad news is I left my flip flops in Mountain Home. And odds aren't good I'll ever see them again. Looking good, Mr. Bryce. Looking good.

Not To Brag...

Sales Kid: I think you found the two best deals in the store. Are you some sort of professional shoe shopper or something?
Me: I guess you could say that.
It's so nice to be recognized for your talents.

Easter Fun
I'm not sure what people do when their nieces and nephews are not the most adorable children EVER. Thank goodness I will never have to find out. I enjoyed an Easter Tea with Lauren and Carly on Saturday. Fruit snacks, Wheat Thins and lemonade have never looked so good.
Made a quick trip to Idaho two weekends ago to see these little guys. We went to soccer games, McDonalds and a baptism. Pretty good for one Saturday.
I have nothing to add to this one. That smile....

I Hope We're Not Overpaying Our Photographers
I hope we're not overpaying our church photographers for General Conference. Any idiot with a cell phone can take a decent picture on Temple Square on a beautiful spring day like today.
